Whether you've read a notification is remembered in your browser's local storage — that never leaves your device or reaches us.
3. Why we collect it, and our legal basis
- Running your account and the games you join — necessary to provide the service you've signed up for (contract).
- Sending your one-time sign-in code and essential game messages (like deadline reminders and results) — necessary to provide the service (contract).
- Optional push/app notifications — only sent if you've opted in (consent); you can turn these off at any time.
- Rate-limiting sign-in requests by IP — to stop the code-request system being abused (legitimate interest).
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of other services to run the site, each only for the specific job below:
- Purelymail — delivers our emails (sign-in codes and notifications) on our behalf.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — checks you're not a bot when you sign up; it may process your IP address and browser information under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
- football-data.org — supplies fixtures, results, and league table data. No personal data of yours is ever sent to them.
- TheSportsDB — used as a secondary source to fill in match scores when our primary source hasn't updated yet. No personal data of yours is ever sent to them.
We do not sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or use it for ad targeting.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and personal data deleted, email admin@premierleaguepicks.co.uk and we'll action it — though basic records of a completed game's results may be kept in an anonymised form so past-game history stays accurate for other players.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data, correct anything inaccurate, delete your data, restrict or object to certain processing, or provide your data in a portable format. Email admin@premierleaguepicks.co.uk to exercise any of these. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've mishandled your data.
7. Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use any third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
8. Children
This service is for adults aged 18 and over and is not intended for children.

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change when we do.
